Closure of the German Advice Centre
Press announcement November 2009
We regret to inform you about the closure of the German Advice Centre on the 31st December 2009. Unfortunately, we are not able to continue our service due to insufficient financial resources. Therefore three members of our staff have had to be made redundant and the office at 34 Belgrave Square will close. However, due to private donators one Social Worker can continue to work, partly from home. By appointment only we can offer one to one consultations at the German YMCA (35 Craven Terrace, London, W2 3EL). The new phone number will be: 020 7262 2463 The main focus of our service will still be advising on pensions and social security systems. Unfortunately, we will no longer be able to provide advice and support for prisoners and people in crisis. The committee of the German Welfare Council would like to thank its kind supporters for their generous donations and very much hopes that this support will continue. Kind Regards, |
